A book that’s literally about Trump’s “a whole civilization will die” quip

“A whole civilization will die” is more nonsense from Donald Trump. But one book is literally about that concept. And it’s frightening as hell.

Donald Trump’s a madman. We know that much. In the days leading to the US-Iranian ceasefire, Trump posted, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.” Luckily, that didn’t happen. But if Hiroshima and Nagasaki came back from the brink and Trump followed through on those threats, I don’t even want to imagine the destruction.

Destruction that more than a few sickos would’ve justified as “righteous.” But what if I told you one of my lead magnets carries this exact concept? Don’t believe me? Just check out the description for Deceived Mage, the two-year prequel to my dark paranormal fantasy series.

Betrayed by family, bound by magic—can Ella stop a deadly plan before it destroys everything she loves?

Born into a powerful ruling elite, Ella’s destiny and birthright seem clear—until she uncovers her father’s dark plan to secretly unleash a catastrophic Fusion Bomb that could wipe out her beloved hometown and blame the attack on his political opponents.

Determined to stop the impending destruction, Ella must secretly forge an alliance with the very opponents her family seeks to frame.

But as the web of conspiracy tightens, Ella finds herself questioning everything—her loyalty, her identity, and even the nature of power itself.

With time running out and enemies on all sides, Ella must rely on her ingenuity, Fire Mage ability, and a handful of unlikely allies to thwart her father’s deadly scheme.

Will Ella save Astronova before it’s too late?

Deceived Mage’s plot line on domestic terrorism

Deceived Mage by TC MartiElemental magic, urban fantasy plot elements, and the political fantasy subgenre comprise Deceived Mage’s makeup. But the only difference between it and Trump’s quip above is that it critiques the two-party duopoly in America.

There’s some indirect Operation Northwoods flair involved here, too, since the attack’s purpose is to spark outrage toward the opposing Mercenary political faction. The Mercenaries are no better than Ella’s father’s Augury Party, and they may even be worse.

Still, both parties embrace mass surveillance, global warfare and violence, They don’t care about staggering debts, nor do they give a damn about the people they’re supposed to serve. Psychopaths like Samuli Kinnunen care about one thing only: power. And if it means destroying a city full of people in his Augury Party, that’s what he’ll do.

Catenarian Chronicles ups the ante…big time

Cursed Mage, a dark paranormal fantasy by TC MartiIf you think threatening a city with a Fusion Bomb with a sixteen-year-old girl trying to save it is some serious shit, you aren’t looking hard enough. The main series featuring Kaija Jokiharju as the protagonist while Ella becomes a fan-favorite supporting character takes darker turns.

Kaija chats with a boy she’s physically attracted to. Only it’s not long before she realizes he’s dead. And his death was no accident. He was killed. Killed in one of the worst way possible. The memory is so traumatizing that the boy can’t bring himself to “relive” the incident without flickering out.

Fast-forward to Book II, and Kaija becomes friends with a little spirit girl. The way she was killed makes the boy’s death look like child’s play. No pun intended. These books are dark reads. Darker than dark, yet ironically with a glimmer of hope attached.

The political themes and the worst aspects of the State are highlighted often, starting in Deceived Mage and drifting into Cursed Mage.
