A wide digital painting of a lone young man standing on a rocky cliff, facing a dark futuristic city filled with towering screens that show glitching, faceless bureaucratic figures. Stylized blue wind swirls around him, forming ghostly shapes of censored speech bubbles and crossed-out charts. Storm clouds crack open with blue lightning over the oppressive skyline, blending dystopian atmosphere with magical, rebellious energy.

COVID-19 was my biggest inspiration for dystopian fiction

COVID-19 was more than a sack of lies told by governments all over the globe. But it sowed the seeds for my very first novel.

I first wrote Wind Wielder in 2020. A book without a true genre, some would say. I fused Wind Wielder with dystopian, fantasy, sci-fi, and military concepts. My biggest challenge, by far, was figuring out how to inject my disdain for how Anthony Fauci and Company handled COVID-19.

I can list all my grievances against Fauci and the medical bureaucrats, but I’d be wasting my writing breath. I’m sure you’ve heard them all, so I’m not adding another layer of cyber dust to the obvious. I’ll only say this: they got pissed and labeled any take they didn’t like as ‘misinformation’ and/or ‘disinformation.’

That told me all I needed to know about their collective intellect. If they were confident and secure in their worldview, they wouldn’t have flipped out. Whether they like it or not, it revealed their hand, and their temperament was one reason so many in the public lost faith in them.

Not to mention the fact that Fauci bailed not long after and received a pre-emptive pardon from Joe Biden. If that don’t carry more than a stench of guilt, I don’t know what does. But damn it, Fauci’s reaction to having his authority challenged gave me the firepower I needed to throw him the giant middle finger in Wind Wielder.

Wind Wielder’s got some drawn-out sequences casual readers will hate…

In Chapter 6, Tuukka Worthy explains how easily and how a micro-number of people need to be in on a conspiracy for it to work to his heiress, Raj Worthy. It might draw eyerolls from casual readers, but genre sticklers should’ve already bailed by now since Wind Wielder genre bends like hell, so I’m guessing my die-hards will make it through here.

And those die-hards would appreciate Tuukka’s words, even if they’d hate that bastard. But Tuukka ain’t the only one doing some explaining.

Fast-forward to the pre-climax, and another character gathers Sion Zona and Company. She unleashes another drawn-out sequence, this one talking about, you guessed it, mis- and disinformation, and how easily the establishment spreads it.

The girl also touches on how easily the scientific establishment can manipulate studies and artificially create outcomes to fit their worldview. All while selling their subjective worldview to the masses.

COVID-19 and its legacy of shame lives on in Wind Wielder

Wind Wielder by TC MartiI love my early works, whether it’s Wind Wielder, Tarja Titan, Civil War, or The Rebellion Awakens. Those four books are ideological libertarian fiction at their finest, and Wind Wielder ain’t the only one to spit on COVID-19.

Tarja Titan reveals it as the plandemic it was, albeit in fictional lore. The Rebellion Awakens hits on medical tyranny I’m sure the powers that be would crave, the sick sons of bitches. As for Civil War, it reveals what could happen to those who rail against established narratives.

But nothing ties in the lasting legacy COVID-19 left better than Wind Wielder. The narratives coming in from the establishment media outlets were direct blueprints to the dialogue. And I demonstrated how easy it is for a global elite to concoct a good old conspiracy.

If alternative thought doesn’t offend you, then check out Wind Wielder for yourself. You’ll catch genre fusion at its finest, rooted in fantasy and dystopian concepts. But the true reward is the story within the story. The theme that urges you to never forget the time when med authorities tried taking YOUR civil liberties away. Check out Wind Wielder now.
