Enemies aren’t the men and women people in power tell you to hate
Throughout human history, we have fallen for the same trick. People in power tell us to hate another group of people, and we follow like sheep.
“Enemies aren’t the men and women people in power tell you to hate. Enemies are the people in power who tell the masses who to hate for their own political gain and self-interests.” – Rokko Streets, BattleFront, Chronicles of Rondure Book 2
Let’s stop sugarcoating it. America is in a war with Iran, and many neocons want to see the U.S. and Israel wreak so much havoc on the country that they’re willing to treat civilians living there like insects.
And they expect you to hate Iranians who have yet to actually hit the US—though I wouldn’t rule out a false flag at some point. I’ve said it time and again — Iran’s regime is terrible and it needs to go. But we’ve seen what happens when America tries toppling regimes through military adventurism.
The Cleveland Browns will play the Detroit Lions in the Super Bowl before America successfully changes a regime without destabilizing a Middle Eastern nation to the point extremist groups pop up from all four corners. In other words, it’s not happening.
It doesn’t end with Iran. What about Iraqis, Afghans, and some will even go as to demonize every last Muslim on the planet — convinced that Muslims are collectively trying to Islamify the West, or whatever the proper term is.
Don’t get me wrong — some are. But I’ve personally met and liked my fair share of Muslims. Not a single one of them wanted to forcibly change other people. One didn’t even fast during Ramadan, quipping that “I work too much for that.” Christmas also fascinated them.
Even if many neocon NPCs tell me to hate Muslims because the neocons in power tell them to, I’ll keep treating Muslims like individuals, and not like closet terrorists.
Stop listening to people in power — they breed on war
The more people in power can keep the masses in a perpetual state of war, the fatter their bankroll gets and the more influence they muster over you. That includes Donald Trump, who has a few cultists living near me.
One particular person whose home I run by worships him so much that they have signs like, “Daddy’s home,” and “I voted for the convicted felon” — complete with a life-sized banner of Trump on their gate.
Being that’s what they have outside, I don’t even want to imagine what they have inside. But it wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a shrine dedicated to the guy — one not unlike what we saw that Helga Pataki made of Arnold Shortman in Hey Arnold! from back in the day.
The sad takeaway? This isn’t limited to Trump.
How many Leftists were obsessed with Hillary Clinton in 2016? And how many people danced in the streets when Joe Biden beat Donald Trump in 2020? COVID be damned for a minute there.
What’s the common denominator between all three of these people — and we can include Kamala Harris in that mix, too?
They possess so much psychological power over their herd that, regardless of their words and actions, that herd will follow. Whoever they tell that herd to hate, that herd will hate without hesitation.
Have we not learned anything since the dawn of civilization?
Recorded history started roughly 5,000 years ago, and proto-recorded history began around 6,600 years ago.
That’s a lot of documentation, yet here we are in 2026 and humanity is making the same mistake its ancestors made. They either deify or at least pseudo-deify their leaders to the point those same leaders can commit unspeakably evil acts that would be a death sentence for the Average Joe or Plain Jane, and their herd will smile, nod—and in many cases—cheer.
All while hating on whomever it was that very same so-called deity or pseudo-deity of a leader told them to hate. Ironically, if the other side’s leader committed those same acts, they’d sing a different tune. A tune that would demonize the other side’s deified leader to the point they’d make you think that demonized leader was Satan himself—to use an identity everyone’s familiar with.
And what erupts? War at home, war abroad, and violence breeding violence at home because one side decides to go all chicken hawk and justify foreign intervention while the other rightfully, but temporarily, goes all dove.
The worst part? They’re hating on an entire group of people they never met because their leader told them to. Seriously, I’d be very unsurprised if one side ultimately won at some point, built giant statues of their “great” and “dear” leaders, and demanded ritualistic worship of those statues or else dissenters would get thrown in some camp.
The Takeaway? Quit letting people who never met you tell you who to hate
I’ve been throwing the term “chicken hawk” around a lot lately, but I don’t turn my back on them. Mainly because, like the Muslims I mentioned earlier, there are a lot of chicken hawks who I know well and don’t think are bad people.
They just—for one reason or another—fell for neoconservative propaganda surrounding Iran even when they saw through COVID. And vice versa—I know progressives and left-leaning people who lost their minds if someone like me refused to wear a mask yet (unless they were dancing in the streets) see through the Iran BS.
When are we ultimately going to wake up one day and realize that it’s the masses vs. those same people we deify? And when are we going to realize that those we deify are the root of the world’s problems and tied into a malevolent entity called the State?
If people understood that it doesn’t matter who you vote for, bombs will drop, the standard of living will keep deteriorating, the national debt will keep spiking, and the dollar will keep weakening, we could slowly end this madness. And if we did, trust me, those we’ve spent years deifying will show their true colors and tell us what they really think of us — they’d probably claim we’re a bunch of idiots who need our hands held.
And it would be an eye-opener for many who spent years believing their side were “the good guys.” No, those are the people in power who are the real enemies of the masses. Not the nation thousands of miles away that has yet to reach U.S. soil—unless you’re talking about the regime in question that has the same endgame as our own.
If you’re tired of corrupt elitists telling you who to hate and what to think, this is exactly what I explore in my fiction.
