How to defeat social media doomscrolling once and for all
Social media doomscrolling is the ultimate time-waster and mind manipulator. It’s the infamous Matrix we were all warned about.
We live in a social media-filled rage culture in which the psyops usually change by the week. A few weeks back, it was Venezuela, then it was Iran, then it was ICE, and now it’s the Epstein Files.
All of the above is intended for one thing: to keep you doomscrolling, to keep you pissed off, and to keep you trapped in a small, negative space with seemingly no way out.
And you know what? These psychopaths and their minions in the media, academia, and even your corporate workplace want to keep you pissed, all while you keep looking down at your phones and up at the TV.
It’s a vicious, never-ending cycle that trickles down when those elitists and their lieutenants in academia and the media tell you, the foot soldier for one side of the duopoly or the other, what to think, what to post, and how outraged you need to be.
Well, I can tell you this: it’s no way to live. I don’t care what your viewpoint is on religion or spirituality, but right here, in this very moment, in this very life, we only have one shot in it.
So, why spend it doomscrolling and adhering to exactly what these people want you to do. Because they don’t care about you, regardless of how much they claim they do. They only care about themselves and their endgame.
So again: why play their game in the first place?
I spent years playing the whole social media doomscrolling game
Ironically, it wasn’t until June 2020—in the middle of their COVID pandemic—did I snap out of it. Before that, I was posting to social media between 60 and 80 times a day, and none of them were friendly posts.
I’d look up at the TV, and post an opinion on social media of what I was seeing. An angry opinion, and one blatantly designed to bring out the worst in anyone who read it. After that little dopamine rush, I did it again. That little two-minute dopamine rush, I’ll add.
And when the TV didn’t tell me to get mad at something, I looked for a reason to get mad—hence the doomscrolling. Then, I’d share something, and I’d floor the throttle, so to speak. I didn’t care who saw the posts, what their reactions were, or which bridges I burned.
I was angry, and I wanted to make other people angry. Because negativity breeds negativity. And, unfortunately, negativity holds everyone down, regardless of whether your jersey is red, blue, or another color.
Oh, and guess what? Those elites and their lieutenants are busy laughing at you. Why? Because they’re feeding off and profiting from that anger.
