Putting faces to names in the Catenarian Chronicles Part II

With AI generation in full force, it was a fun exercise to put faces to the names of all the major Catenarian Chronicles characters in Cursed and Astray Mage.

See that character in the cover image? That’s Radclyffe Nerthol. He can control metal and get spirits to do his bidding without even trying. The guy is a badass, and he makes a short yet impactful appearance in Book I of Catenarian Chronicles, Cursed Mage.

Kaija Jokiharju, seen in Part I of this miniseries, plays the main role. And she’s not gonna like the way Radclyffe is borderline abusing someone who is very, very close to her. So you can decipher that Radclyffe and Kaija will exchange some greetings.

But you know what? Kaija ain’t the only one who’ll meet Radclyffe. At least two of the three characters shown below will. If you want an idea or two of what they look like, keep reading, and discover Satu, Heikki, and Katri.

What Satu, Heikki, and Katri look like in the Catenarian Chronicles

Satu

If you read Cursed Mage, you might be taken aback with this image. But it’s a massive, massive Easter egg of why Sats is standing in a ward with blood all over her hands that is not her own.

Anyway, if you’re new to the game, you won’t meet this version of Satu for a while. Instead, you’ll get a cheerful girl who occasionally overthinks, but is arguably the cleverest character in the series.

Satu is often seen wearing gym attire and boasts that same toned build. It’s something she takes pride in and has worked her tail off to attain. But as the pic implies, life might have some unfortunate plans for this fan favorite.

Heikki

Heikki is an enigma, and you’ll see that play out across the series. He’s also one hell of an Air Mage, and with the sword in his hand, it’s heavily implied he’s more than that.

I laughed out loud when I saw this image, because Heikki literally reminds me of a few asshats I’d gone to school with. And you know what? It fits. Maybe not in Cursed Mage, but for what I have planned for Heikki in both my freebie novella, Deceived Mage, and in Astray Mage, oh Lord, does it fit.

It’s the perfect look for a character who you just don’t know what he’s up to at any given time. That makes his close-cropped hair and “skinny guy with abs” look fit. And yeah, I’ll body shame skinny guys with abs all day long.

Katri

Katri is absent until Astray Mage, and she’s a tragic character who you’ll end up feeling for. Long story short, she’s a rich girl who should lavish in the way she lives. But you know what? She could do without it and only hangs with the “cool kids” by association.

As the image shows, Katri’s got the “daywalker look” going on, with pasty skin, dark-red hair, and an attractive build. And yep, the emerald attire and the way she’s shoving her sword tip into the earth show you that she’s indeed an Earth Master.

But before you meet Katri, you will see Radclyffe, Satu, and Heikki in Cursed Mage, starring Kaija Jokiharju as the main act. Kaija’s chatting it up with a dead ghost, and Satu’s trying to help her figure out just what the hell’s going on. If you’re interested in discovering more about how Heikki and Radclyffe fit into the equation, then what are you waiting for? Head over to The Rebel Lore Vault and get Cursed Mage right now.
