A writer wielding a flaming pen stares into the horizon, featuring a bearded Ron Paul

Ron Paul gave me a mission and I’m answering the call

As Ron Paul nears 90, his message still fuels my purpose: To write liberty-first fiction that challenges power and inspires the next generation.

As Ron Paul approaches his 90th birthday on August 20th, many will reflect on his legacy as a congressman, presidential candidate, and one of the only truth-tellers to ever set foot in Washington, D.C.

But for me, and for other creators in the liberty movement, his legacy goes deeper. It’s more than just about policy, economics, or the Constitution. It’s about culture and, more specifically, the power of stories to reshape the world.

In his 2025 New Year’s Resolutions Part II, Dr. Paul wrote, “There is also a need for pro-liberty individuals who make movies, write books, and perform music. I have always believed music must be part of any successful libertarian revolution. Anyone who doubts the importance of culture should consider how many people were introduced to the ideas of liberty through Ayn Rand’s novels, and how many people came to understand the evils of authoritarianism through the novels of George Orwell.”

When I read that, I said to myself, “That’s a mission.”

And I haven’t looked back.

Culture is the real battlefield

Ron Paul has always understood what most liberty-minded thinkers overlook: Political change is downstream from culture. We can argue about the Fed, the surveillance state, or endless wars until we’re blue in the face. But if stories that glorify technocrats, collectivism, and safety over freedom shape the Average Joe’s or Plain Jane’s imagination, we’ve already lost.

The State knows this. That’s why it’s embedded itself into our fiction, classrooms, screens, and publishing houses. So many Marvel phases, young adult dystopias, and big-budget remakes that feel like they were run through a sensitivity seminar, they’re propaganda with a pretty coat of paint.

That’s where we come in.

I write for readers who are awake, not artificial algorithms

Every book I write, whether it’s epic fantasy, elemental magic, survivalist dystopia, or even a rogue hockey rebellion, they fight back through characters who resist central power, plots that expose the rot behind gilded systems, themes that celebrate revisionism, self-ownership, voluntary exchange, individual responsibility, and heroes who act like they already own their rights.

I write for the kid who knows something’s off but can’t name it yet, not to win awards or make Netflix happy. I also write for the teenager who sees through the curriculum, and the adult who’s tired of people in suits and plastic smiles gaslighting them.

In other words, I write for the next Ron Paul who’s out there right now, waiting for a story that lights a fire under their spine.

Ron Paul lives in my pages

His fingerprints are all over my work, even when the stories take place in fantasy worlds or alternate timelines.

  • When my characters question the morality of a war they’re forced to fight… that’s Ron Paul speaking.

  • When a secret society hoards power through inflation, deception, and media control… that’s also Ron Paul.

  • When my heroines discover that truth isn’t negotiable, even when it costs them everything… yep, that’s Ron Paul, too.

He’s a narrative blueprint and a real-life example of what it means to stand alone, speak with conviction, and never back down.

We’re the new counterculture

If you’re a writer, musician, artist, or storyteller with libertarian convictions, hear this: You don’t need permission. You also don’t need traditional publishing or Hollywood to validate you. And you definitely don’t need to hide your ideas in the shadows, hoping the algorithm doesn’t notice.

You need to create without apology, because stories shape imaginations, imagination shapes worldview, and worldview shapes civilization.

If we keep ceding this ground to people who worship safety, equity mandates, and State-sanctioned truth, don’t be surprised when freedom dies in a TikTok trend.

But if we answer the call? If we write liberty into every line, chord, and pixel?

Then Ron Paul’s legacy will evolve.

A legacy worth building upon

On August 20th, Ron Paul turns 90. He’s done more for the cause of liberty than most in modern memory. He stood alone when people thought he was a crank, told the truth when it was dangerous, and inspired generations how to build outside the system.

Now it’s our turn to do this through stories that hit like thunder, and stay like scripture.

Ron Paul gave me a mission, and he gave you a mission.

And we’re just getting started. Need inspiration?
