I watched Sisters of House Black the other day and was so mesmerized that I had to outline a novella that won’t be written this decade. When I watched Sisters of House Black after I saw Morgan Ross of MovieFlame’s review, I thought I was getting an ultra-short film under 20 minutes long and I instead got…
Many fantasy genre expectations have shaped modern-day thought in the real world, and not in a good way. Time for another rant. If Part I exposed how fantasy glorifies war and concentrates power, Part II goes deeper. The problem isn’t just who holds power, but how easily everyone else becomes expendable under it. Let’s explore. The…
Many fantasy genre expectations have shaped modern-day thought in the real world, and not in a good way. Time to rant. Fantasy is supposed to be the genre of imagination with new worlds, innovative magical systems, and new possibilities. But in many ways, it’s one of the most intellectually stagnant genres out there. Beneath the…
Don’t get down on yourself when someone criticizes your worldview. That’s an accomplishment because your voice is spreading. My old sports writing job wasn’t pointless — even if I posted about pointless “who the hell cares” content. My mantra was always talking about stats, analytics, and predictive trends. When the supposedly fan-driven company I worked for shifted…
You may have noticed an abrupt change in my tune since Trump’s War in Iran started, and I have no plans of shying away from it at The Rogue Scribe. When I first penned the Renegades Epic, I had one goal in mind: Use science fantasy and dystopian fiction to flip off the neoconservatives and their perpetual…
With The Rebel Lore Vault expanding at the end of February, ALL of my readers can spread the Renegades Epic far and wide. For the past six years, I’ve had the luxury of living the so-called “laptop lifestyle.” Most of that time was spent sportswriting, covering the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres and later the Detroit Red…
Wind Wielder is literary fiction disguised as a brewing military science fantasy, and it takes a flamethrower to American foreign policy narratives. I first wrote Wind Wielder during the COVID pandemic in June 2020. So much of it did double duty. It hit on how governments and corporations collude to create narratives that trickle down through the…
The Finnish language boasts a Disney-like, fairytale vibe that made it the perfect inspiration for the magic language in my work. If a Finn read my work, they might laugh at it. Not because they wouldn’t like my books, but because they’d probably say, “Man, this is a poor attempt to emulate our language.” In…
Stories about consent, choice, and liberty are too few and far in between. And most that exist skew left of center. It’s time to right the ship. Consent and choice are buzzwords these days, even among Leftist ideological literary mantras. They might even throw around the term liberty, or at least freedom. Then, they hit…
I’m a self-editor, and have been one since I wrote my first books. Some authors self-edit because it saves them money, but I had ulterior motives. Normies are trained to see self-sufficient libertarians as villains. Good. Let them call me a villain. I’ve long embraced the role anyway. Just ask hockey fans and they’ll tell…
TC Marti forged an unapologetic identity for his genre tastes and how his worldview blatantly shaped his work. The future’s gonna be fun. Unapologetic is the best way to describe me these days. In 2025, I opened up big time on where the main inspiration for my work came from. Not from some woke, corporate-approved…
ABC’s Lost took me on a whirlwind for six years. Say what you will about the series, but nothing inspired my love for ultra-complex plots more. My writing ain’t for the casual reader. They’d have a nightmare putting all my plot elements together, and it still wouldn’t make sense for their simple minds. If you…
