Introducing your politically incorrect YA/NA fantasy author
I’m a politically incorrect YA/NA fantasy author for one major reason: Your kids act that way behind your back. Just like you did behind Mom and Dad’s backs.
You want to know why South Park has been such a hit for 30 years? Because it accurately depicts how kids really talk to one another.
While some Karens and Kens out there would say something like, “I’m not impressed with TC, especially since he claims to be a YA/NA author,” anyone with an ounce of logic will look back at their teen and early adult years and say, “Yeah, TC’s attitude is pretty accurate.”
So why would I sanitize myself in the name of PR if it’s a facade? It’s stupid, and it adds another lie to a world full of them.
That said, I’ll be your politically incorrect author and say shit like, “Liza Fury ain’t bisexual because I’m “inclusive.” She is because I found her that way.” It made sense, thanks to the circumstances you’ll find in Liza Fury: Catch 22.
But that’s the tip of a larger iceberg.
I don’t write fiction to make friends
I’m an authentic person with no filter, and I’m not about to be fake in front of the camera lens before turning around and being my true self in private. Who the hell wants to live that way?
Hey, if Tyr could sacrifice a hand, I’ll sacrifice PR if it means getting the right readers. Readers who demand authenticity from the authors whose work they devour.
In an age where just about everything is sanitized, the authentic content creators will win out. And you know what? They should win out. Win out and kick your creators who love making cash grabs while accusing everyone else of cash grabs to the curb.
Fakers gonna fake
There are so many people out there whose private lives I’d love to crash in on, just to see if they’re the same person when there’s not a camera around. Do they give scripted responses when there isn’t a reporter in their face? And what’s really going through their head?
Are they as politically correct when they’re gathered around a bonfire with their buddies? Or does their politically incorrect side seep out? Hey, I’ve met a lot of fake-ass people, myself included.
Because I wasn’t always this way. I used to self-censor, deliver the right responses, and double check every step I took. But who the hell wants to live that way? And why, considering you only have so many years on this Earth? Why waste it being someone you’re not?
Still, the fakers will fake. They’ll see this article and tell me how much of a trash person I am because it villainizes me, and makes them look good in front of people. That’s how I can tell who’s fake and who ain’t. Who’ll take your bait, and who won’t.
Politically incorrect characters are all over the goddamn place
I’ve made it clear: My fiction doesn’t contain “goody two shoes” protagonists or supporting characters of said protagonists. Yote Diamondback (15/Arcane)? She’s an elitist, even if she won’t admit the truth.
Sabre Kjaergaard (18/Sentrys)? She has psychopathic tendencies. Sion Zona (21/Elementals)? He’s a dick in Wind Wielder. Tarja Titan (18/Terrian)? Quite the firecracker when you get to know her. Quinn Cozens (29/Beyond)? He’s a dissenter with the worst things out there to say about compliant sheep.
You get the point. But if you’re sick of reading work from a bunch of fake authors too scared to show their true, authentic colors and want something with a few shades more realism, then you’re on the right blog. Check out my work at my personal store, The Rebel Lore Vault, and meet some of the above characters.
You’ll also find that there’s more than just a politically incorrect author and characters pulling some strings. My own work rebels against typical genre tropes. You wanted something different, so I gave you something different.
