Warning about future articles at The Rogue Scribe
You may have noticed an abrupt change in my tune since Trump’s War in Iran started, and I have no plans of shying away from it at The Rogue Scribe.
When I first penned the Renegades Epic, I had one goal in mind: Use science fantasy and dystopian fiction to flip off the neoconservatives and their perpetual fetish for regime change wars.
Hell, my book BattleFront (Chronicles of Rondure Book II) was written as a direct response to America’s reckless proxy war they’re involved in with Russia. A war that never would’ve happened if the US and NATO didn’t keep pushing eastward before winding up on Russia’s doorstep—and if you want a good book on the matter, read Provoked by Scott Horton—it’ll tell you everything you need to know.
By the way, the above IS NOT an affiliate link. This is because Amazon excluded the product from its Amazon Associates program. It just goes to show you how Big Tech loves to skew narratives and bow down to their overlords in Washington—regardless of which jersey the current administration is wearing.
Anyway, back to the core issue at hand.
It’s war that was supposedly going to end soon after Donald Trump—who I all but based King Magnu on in Elementals of Nordica—returned to the Oval Office. It’s been over a year, and not only is that war still going on, but Trump decided to pull America into yet another war. A war that I’ve known since at least 2006 was going to happen, when I was a fifteen-year-old high school sophomore.
Anti-interventionism has always been my number-one stance, and foreign policy has always been the one issue I’ve been the most passionate about. But when you look at America’s godawful track record in overseas conflicts, literally since World War II, it’s been responsible for more loss of life than arguably any other nation that has put boots on the ground on another country’s soil. And if you want proof, check out this amazing article by former CIA analyst Larry C. Johnson.
This is a prime opportunity to grow and get the word out
Mainly, The Rogue Scribe has been about confessionals, updates on my newer endeavors, character essays, etc. But that was until the current regime I’m living under—one that loves using my tax dollars for blowing up kids who happen to live under a horrid regime—gave me a good reason to remember why I started writing fiction in the first place.
Call it anti-patriotism, anti-Americanism, anti-whatever floats your boat. To be frank: I don’t care. America was founded on rebellion—not bowing down to a war mongering regime that also had a fetish for taking over half the globe and destroying anyone that got in its way.
So, in case you haven’t yet realized it, the tone has shifted and it’ll keep shifting to my anti-foreign policy stance, using examples from my books and the real-life inspiration behind them.
And if you claim the old lie that “well, we need to be over there because the regime is oppressive,” I got news for you—America’s also in bed with dictators running oppressive regimes. Saudi Arabia, anyone? Egypt? You can throw Israel in there, too, given its track record.
So I don’t want to hear it. I’ve heard the nonsense—I live in a very neoconservative area full of people who pretend to “vote Bible.” Full of people who don’t mind seeing millions of people killed and displaced because it’s supposedly “God’s will.”
That’s the direction I’m going in, and it’s the direction I’m going to keep going in. I want to attract readers with the same passion that I have in calling out this superpower that’s only good at reducing nations to rubble and destabilizing them, letting civil war after civil war erupt while their lodge brothers make billions off the backs of taxpayers and people killed because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Historical deep dives are coming up as we explore America’s global atrocities
I’m talking about CIA coups, harm the American government has done to its own people—especially post World War II—and even planned terrorist attacks that same government was in the process of while fighting communism abroad. Of course, I’m talking about Operation Northwoods.
So, if you want to go on a journey back in time with me, where I cite examples from my books highlighting why I’ve written what I have, and the links I’ve made with arguably the most destructive global power in human history, welcome aboard.
If not, you know where the exit ramp to I-95 is. Because I’m going all Caitlin Johnstone, who I quoted in Wind Wielder, by the way—just with a libertarian, and not a leftist-progressive backbone.
If you want to see these ideas explored through story rather than essays, that’s exactly why I wrote the Renegades Epic.
Across multiple worlds and timelines, these books explore the same questions I’ll be tackling here:
• What happens when powerful nations believe they have the right to reshape the world?
• What does rebellion look like when authority becomes tyranny?
• And how far should a free person go to resist it?
If you want to experience those ideas through fiction, you can explore the series starters here:

- Wind Wielder (Elementals of Nordica)
