The most hated man in Etharia: Ukko Sharpe
Ukko Sharpe is the most dangerous man in Arcane Elemental Academy. Nobody has bucked statist dogmas more than Sharpe, and it makes him hated.
- Parents: Isa and Aiti Sharpe
- Wife: Rauni Sharpe (previously Akka Maa)
- Son: Storm Sharpe
- Fun Fact: Ukko is named after the Finnish god of the sky and thunder
- Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw
- Arcane School: Scorpii
- Birthday: Apr. 27
Ukko is small in stature, but he’s lean and muscular, making up for his lack of height. He has pale skin, dark ringlet hair, and olive green eyes.
Unlike his son, Storm, or our main character, Yote Diamondback, Ukko’s Hogwarts House, if he were a student there, would’ve matched mine: Ravenclaw. Ukko’s a brilliant strategist and possesses a cunning nature, plus a daring mentality. But he has enough foresight to consider long-term consequences for every action.
In The Arcane Prophecy, he’s a minor character whose prominence becomes more pronounced as the book progresses. Following the climax, you’ll learn something significant about Ukko.
Etharia’s grudge is a slick propaganda tool
Nobody hates Ukko Sharpe more than the strong, central Etharian government. Why? Ukko heads up the largest defense firm in the Northern Region, and one strong enough to withstand an assault from Etharia.
Those in Etharia label Ukko a predator who is hell-bent on monopolizing his firm in the North. He and his firm are on Etharia’s terrorist watch list, and they have gone as far as to label the firm, Sharpe Defense, a militia.
But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Ukko’s defense firm, while larger than the other private firms combined in the North, would be no match against the cluster of smaller firms dotted throughout the region.
Former Mercenaries head up those smaller defense firms, some of which are one-man operations. One-man operations that know a thing or two of wreaking serious havoc on large swaths of opponents. The Etharian government is also aware of these one-man wrecking crews.
Ukko Sharpe doesn’t have time for look-at-me nonsense
Ukko isn’t performative. He gives heavy donations to Scorpii School, but he’s not one to host an event and plaster it all over social media. Storm will, but it shows the sheer difference between one generation to the next.
Ukko also prefers leading charges. When a threat emerges, he doesn’t sit back and bark orders; he’s out front. This occurs multiple times in The Arcane Prophecy, most notably during the climactic scene.
Overall, he’s one of the faces of the Northern Region, Aurora Village, and the Arcane Elemental Academy without craving the spotlight. But what sets the stage for Yote ultimately crossing paths with Ukko?
